The new UPCWGS logo
The logo features elements that emanate from a center, representing the UPCWGS, and the ten gender offices of the CUs and campuses. All energize and propel the women’s and gender agenda in the University and society.
The logo also symbolizes the diversity of SOGIE through the hues that represent the LGBTQIA+ movement.
The purple interior shape is a recognition that the establishment of the Center was borne out of the efforts of feminists and advocates from the women’s movement.

UPCWGS Statement for the 2017 Lantern Parade
Every child has the right to education. By putting our children in school, we can work towards ending the cycle of poverty. It is also through education that we can pave the way to a more gender-fair society. The University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies calls for the right to education for all Filipino children. It also insists on making the University a safe space that is free from gender-based harassment and violence – a place where everyone can freely develop into being the best versions of themselves.
