UPCWGS holds film viewing of “Bagahe”

In celebration of Women’s Month, the University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UPCWGS) held a viewing of “Bagahe,” a film by director Zig Madamba Dulay, as part of its Kapihan ng mga Peminista series on 20 March 2024 at the UPCWGS Conference Room.

Bagahe tells the story of an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), Mercy Agbunag. As the whole family celebrates her homecoming, NBI agents appear on the doorstep inviting Mercy for some questioning about a case of a newborn child found in the trash bin of an airplane toilet.
