In line with its celebration of Women’s Month 2020, the University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UPCWGS), in partnership with the UP College of Fine Arts (CFA), is organizing another “Conversations through Art (CTA): Tapping Various Creative Modalities for Intervention, Growth, and Transformation.” The fifth session of the discussion series, The Role of Various Creative Expressions in the Effective Intervention of Mental and Emotional Well-Being Issues in the University Today, will be held on 27 March 2020 (Friday), 1:00 PM at the College of Fine Arts Design Hall, UP Diliman.
The session will feature artists, creative professionals, advocates, and psychologists who will share their insights on the significant role of the arts in nurturing the emotional and mental well-being of students, faculty, personnel, and staff in academic institutions like UP.
CTA is an initiative by artists, advocacy builders, social workers, and those in the helping professions to collectively promote arts for social change. Envisioned as a series wherein various creative modalities are highlighted in each session, the invited resource speakers will be individuals from different parts of the world who are making contributions to the establishment of the expressive arts practice or use specific creative modalities for personal-professional, community, and sectoral development.
