As part of its celebration of Women’s Month, the University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UPCWGS), in partnership with UP Babaylan, Babaylanes, Inc., and the UP College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD) Doctor of Social Development Program, organized a roundtable discussion on the development of a system-wide UP Policy on Equality and Non-Discrimination on the Basis of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics (SOGIESC) entitled, “UP for Equality: Towards a University SOGIESC Policy,” on 14 March 2019 at the Bulwagang Tandang Sora, CSWCD, UP Diliman. The event aims to discuss and identify the elements and framework of the UP SOGIESC Policy.
